What brand of paint do you use?
We highly recommend ICI Paints. ICI manufactures Devoe, Delux, and Glidden brands. However, if you have a preference, we will gladly use any brand you choose. Do you offer free estimates? Absolutely. Simply give us a call. We will meet with you at your home at your convenience. A written estimate describing all work to be performed will be provided within a couple of days. I'd like to see some of the houses you have painted. Will you provide me with references? A list of references will be provided with our written estimate. Photos of our work can also be seen here. Who performs the work? In many cases, the owner completes the job. If you have any questions about who will be on your property, please let us know. How do you wish to be paid? We accept checks, cash, and money orders. We require one-third of the total in advance to purchase supplies. A second draw of one-third will be collected when the job is about 50% complete. Final payment is due when the job is completed to your satisfaction. I want exactly the same color of paint I have now. Can you match it? Through today's technology, most all colors can be duplicated. Action Enterprize prides itself in being an expert in the field of "Protective Coatings Specialists". I plan on selling my house soon. Can you help? Your house should look it's best before putting it on the market. Buyers notice whether or not a house has been well maintained. We will work with you and your realtor to repair and repaint your home as needed. A couple of boards on my eaves have rotted. Can you repair these areas before you paint? Yes. We look for such damage when we inspect your property. Repair costs will be included in your estimate. Often we will find damage when we are preparing for painting. In that case, we will discuss with you the needed repairs and the cost before proceeding. Our front door is stained hardwood which we really like. But the finish looks terrible. Will we have to have the door painted? Or can it be restored to its original beauty? In most cases, as long as the wooden door has not been neglected to the point that the bare wood has actually turned black (like old firewood), Action Enterprize can make that door look almost, if not completely, brand new. In any case, we consider it worth a try. I am tired of my stained wood kitchen cabinets and want a new look. Is it OK to paint them? How about painting the wood paneling in my den? Yes to both. The key is proper preparation. We have the expertise to give your kitchen or den a whole new look. Do you apply faux finishes? We have found that most homeowners want to apply their own faux finishes. We can speed up your project by applying the base color for you. You can then faux finish your room(s) at your leisure. My son pulled a towel bar off the bathroom wall leaving a hole in the sheetrock. Can you repair it? Yes we can. In addition to many other services we offer, we are highly skilled in sheetrock repairs. If the wall was textured, we can match it. No one will ever know about that hole in your wall. Is there anything that can be done about that "new paint" odor? Some paints have stronger odors than others. Typically oil-based paint (often used on interior trim and doors) has a distinct odor and proper ventilation is required. Latex (water-based paint used on walls) paints are usually less strong and the odor dissipates faster. We have some suggestions for minimizing the odor, but can't guarantee their success.
