Damage to drywall (commonly referred to as Sheetrock) happens for a variety of reasons including plumbing leaks (the leak itself or the plumber opening the wall), accidents or carelessness. The affected area may simply need to be repaired (above left) or replaced completely (above right).
We can repair the drywall so that the hole in your wall is a distant memory. It will involve several visits to your home to make the repair undetectable.
Drywall is cut to fit (if needed) and screwed in place. Joint tape embedded in joint compound is used to seal the seams (to cover the seams and prevent future cracks). After it has dried, the compound must be sanded. Additional coats of joint compound followed by sanding are added. Once the seams are complete, the affected area is textured to match the existing texture. (If the wall is not textured, the area will be sanded smooth.) Finally the area is painted. If an exact paint match is not available, we recommend repainting the affected wall from corner to corner.
